Scripture of the day: "Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge." Hebrews 13:4
Thought of the day: Marriage is God's good idea. It is to be "held in honor among all". The word translated here as "honor" is translated as precious in the "precious blood" of Jesus, 1 Peter 1:19 ... in "His precious and magnificent promises", 2 Peter 1:4 ... and in the precious foundation gems in the New Jerusalem, Revelation 21:19. Marriage is precious. Cherish it. And the marriage bed is to be "undefiled" ... the same word used to describe Jesus as our "holy, innocent, undefiled" high priest, Hebrews 7:26. The marriage bed should not be defiled by sex before marriage ... or by sex outside of marriage.
Challenge of the day: Divorce, sex before marriage, and adultery are man's bad ideas. Don't let the world squeeze you into its mold ... a mold that dishonors and defiles marriage. Honor it even if others around you do not. Keep your marriage bed pure before marriage ... be sexually pure. Honor marriage by your “until death” commitment in it. And keep your marriage bed pure after you are married ... be sexually faithful to your spouse. God highly honors marriage. Do you?
