March 24

Scripture of the day:  "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep."
John 10:11-15

Thought of the day:  Parents die ... or may desert their children. A spouse dies ... or may divorce their mate. A favorite pastor or priest dies ... or moves on to a new church, retires, or leaves the ministry. Such losses are part of our lives. The ones left behind can feel much loneliness, insecurity, and fear.

Challenge of the day:  Keep your eyes on the Good Shepherd. You are one of His sheep. He will never desert you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid of the wolves. He sees them all because He neither slumbers nor sleeps, Psalm 121:4. He will never flee. Nothing can separate you from the love of the Good Shepherd ... not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, death, life, angels, principalities, things present, things future, powers, height, depth, nor any other created thing, Romans 8:35-39. You are safe. Do not fear. Trust Him ... you are never alone.
