Scripture of the day: "Jesus answered and said to her, 'If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, "Give Me a drink," you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.' ... 'Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.'" John 4:10-14
Thought of the day: The Lord is "the fountain of living water" Jeremiah 17:13. By believing in Jesus, we drink the living water ... our thirst is satisfied ... and it becomes in each of us "a well of water springing up to eternal life." What awesome benefits these are ... living water... never thirst ... eternal life. These are good words and good thoughts. But, can you truly say that your thirst is satisfied?
Challenge of the day: Sometimes we, as Christians, try to drink from the wells of the world, the flesh, and the devil. And then we wonder why we are still thirsty. True satisfaction comes only from one fountain ... the fountain of living water. The wells of our own creation hold no living water. "For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, to hew for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water." Jeremiah 2:13. Are you drinking from the right well?
